le ragioni di un impegno: il dovere di essere seri</font></b></p> <p align="center"><font size="4" class="style25">Ciclo di letture drammatizzate dagli scritti di don Lorenzo Milani<br> a cura di Paolo Bussagli</font> </p> <p align="center">&nbsp;</p> <p align="center">Può sembrare strano che il motto con cui accompagniamo le nostre letture di don Milani inizi con parole in cui molti riconosceranno echi tipicamente gobettiani:<br> <br> &quot;Leggiamo don Milani perché viviamo in un mondo di unanimità consenziente...&quot;<br> <br> cosa ha a che vedere don Milani con &quot;l&#39;intransigenza democratica&quot; di Piero Gobetti? Apparentemente poco, ma nella sostanza molto più di quanto potrebbe sembrare. Certo, le due figure sono diversissime e per apprezzare il contrasto non c&#39;è niente di meglio che considerare le posizioni che costoro avevano nei confronti dell&#39;atto della lettura: per Gobetti <a href="../TestiCDRC/gobpop.html">&quot;Leggere è un atto pratico, su cui non è possibile dare un giudizio di valore&quot;</a>; quel che più conta, per Gobetti la lettura trova il suo compimento nell&#39;individuo singolo e sono ovviamente &quot;le autonome volontà e le libere iniziative&quot; che consentono la creazione di una cultura popolare elevata. Al centro di tutto, per Gobetti resta sempre l&#39;individuo. Per don Milani la lettura privata in quanto tale è palesemente immorale: solo nel suo essere atto (platonicamente) politico, e quindi nel suo essere comunicazione e aiuto per gli altri la lettura trova la sua dignità profonda. Si tratta certo di un bel contrasto, di per sè sufficiente ad evitare impropri accostamenti.</p> <p align="center">Tuttavia, ferme restando le differenze, vi è un approdo comune in entrambi i nostri due autori, e tanto più interessante in quanto quell&#39;approdo, oggi, può essere un frutto di particolare utilità per noi tutti.&nbsp;</p> <p align="center">In entrambi gli autori vi é un amore sostanziale, forte, sicuro e inflessibile verso l&#39;irripetibilità e la singolarità della persona umana e solo gli evidenti punti di contrasto tra un intellettuale liberale come Gobetti e un sacerdote antiintellettuale come don Milani hanno impedito di coglierlo. Si tratta, in entrambi gli autori di un richiamo al dovere di &quot;non buttarsi via&quot;; Gobetti ad esempio parla di &quot;<a href="http://www.cdrc.it/TestiCDRC/gobfed.html">essere ad ogni istante noi</a>&quot;; don Milani parla invece dell&#39;imperativo di &quot;non divergere dalla mia bella vita&quot;. Per Gobetti&nbsp; questo dovere costituisce il fondamento della vita democratica (perché non può esservi democrazia senza coerenza); per don Milani è il fondamento stesso della vita morale. E qui i due uomini tanto diversi sembrano cogliere un punto in comune: proprio perché la nostra vita è unica noi abbiamo il dovere di portarla avanti con serietà e coerenza... &nbsp;</p> <p align="center">In un paese di persone poco serie come l&#39;Italia non di rado questo &quot;dovere&quot; è stato gabellato di &quot;moralismo&quot; dando vita all&#39;irrisione dell&#39;intransigenza gobettiana&nbsp; e alla stereotipizzazione della figura del sacerdote di Barbiana che tuona contro la ricchezza e il divertimento...&nbsp; E tuttavia, oggi, nell&#39;Italia di questi anni in cui spesso vediamo giovani e anziani che vivono vite virtuali, attaccati a programmi televisivi ove si gabella per verità ciò che è pura fiction siamo sicuri che il richiamo di Gobetti</p> <p align="center">ESSERE AD OGNI ISTANTE NOI</p> <p align="center">e quello di don Milani</p> <p align="center">NON VOGLIO DIVERGERE DALLA MIA BELLA VITA</p> <p align="center">non abbiano qualcosa da
